Diversity, Multiculturalism and Mental Health Translated Information - Postnatal Depression
The beyondblue National Postnatal Depression Program recognises the lack of available information about postnatal depression for people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
To ensure that access to information about depression during pregnancy and early parenthood is available to all, the beyondblue National Postnatal Depression Program has allowed it's information booklet "Emotional Health During Pregnancy and Early Parenthood" to be translated into a number of different languages.
The beyondblue National Postnatal Depression Program would like to acknowledge and thank the following organisations for their assistance in the preparation of the translations of "Emotional Health During Pregnancy and Early Parenthood":
Chinese translation has been provided in association with the NSW Multicultural Health Communication Service (MHCS). MHCS provides information and services to assist health professionals to communicate with non-English speaking communities. There are over 4000 publications on health in a wide range of languages. More information on MCHS can be found at http://www.mhcs.health.nsw.gov.au.
If you would like to assist the beyondblue National PND Program in producing information about postnatal depression in a language not listed above, please email Dr Justin Bilszta, the National Project Manager for the PND Program, to discuss.
