Reporting suicide and mental illness is a resource developed by Mindframe, the Australian Government's Department of Health and Ageing's national strategy for promoting responsible reporting of suicide and mental illness in the media.
The resource has been specifically developed for media professionals; and, designed to provide journalists with current contacts, research sources, facts and statistics, and suggestions about issues to consider when reporting suicide and mental illness.
Specific fact sheets pertaining to reporting mental Illness and suicide have been developed and are available together with a full resource kit for media professioanls.
