Title: Development of depression first aid standards for indigenous Australians

Aim:
To develop standards for mental health first aid appropriate for indigenous Australians covering how to help:

  • a person developing a depressive disorder
  • a person who is suicidal
  • a person who has recently had a traumatic experience
  • a person having a panic attack.

Funding: $96,701

Status: Project duration 1 year. Completed February 2008.
