The big blue bus visited Richmond, Penrith and Lithgow in early February, 2015.
Along with local health services, the National Roadshow team helped cook up a barbecue in Richmond Park on Tuesday 3 February. Many commuters on their way home from work popped over for a chat and to take home some free information about mental health and available support.
The following day the big blue bus set up at the Penrith Markets. Many visitors to the markets dropped by to have a chat and pick up free Beyond Blue resources. Federal Member for Lindsay Fiona Scott, Member for Penrith Stuart Ayres and Penrith City Council Mayor Ross Fowler all came to see the bus and wish us well on our journey.
The team headed up to Lithgow on Thursday 5 February and set up at Valley Plaza for the day. Shoppers took the opportunity to pick up free information about depression, anxiety and staying well and to make their mental health pledge. City of Lithgow Mayor Maree Statham also stopped by to meet the team.
Thanks to all the wonderful services who provided support and the people who gave Beyond Blue such a warm welcome! Thanks also to Medibank Community Fund for their support.
