Event ideas

While you can be as creative as you'd like with your beyondblue Bash, there are a few simple activities guaranteed to be popular with your classmates and raise funds.

For primary schools

Blue dress up day

Leave the school uniform in the closet and collect gold coin donations for blue dress up day. You might wear just a touch of blue or embrace the theme head-to-toe! You might even host a fashion runway to crown the best outfit – we'd love to see snaps of the colourful day, you can hashtag #beyondbluebash

Colouring competition

Download our colouring sheetsprint copies for students and request a gold coin donation for entries. Maybe you'd like to award a certificate or small prize for the best colouring skills. We’d love to see the finished masterpieces – you can hashtag #beyondbluebash on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook.

Sausage sizzle, bake sale or canteen proceeds

Everybody loves food! If your school allows, organise a sausage sizzle or bake sale for recess or lunch and charge a gold coin for a plate. If this isn't suitable, ask if the canteen could sell blue icy poles or another item with proceeds to beyondblue.

For secondary schools

Free or fancy dress day

Encourage your classmates and teachers to embrace a blue-themed free or fancy dress day. The more blue, the more creative, the better! You could even run a competition for the best blue get-up. Don't forget to collect gold coin donations and #beyondbluebash!

Interclass or interschool challenge

Does your school participate in a bit of friendly rivalry in the sporting, musical, drama, maths or science arenas? Why not propose a charitable component and raise funds through spectator or entrance fees, some event catering or a raffle.
