Competition Terms and Conditions

AFL BB Cup Competition

Beyond Blue’s Competition (Competition) is being held and promoted by Beyond Blue Ltd ABN 87 093 865 840 of Suite 501, 278 Flinders Lane Melbourne, Victoria 3000 (Beyond Blue).

Opening and closing dates

The Competition opens on 12 April 2021 at 9.00am (AEDT) and concludes on 18 April 2021 at 9.00pm (AEDT) (Competition Period).

Who may enter

The only people who many enter the Competition are:

  • people of all age groups;
  • one entry per person will be permitted;
  • are not Beyond Blue employees or immediate family of Beyond Blue employees.

For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, ‘immediate family’ means a spouse, parent, child or sibling, whether or not they live in the same household as a relevant Beyond Blue employee. 

Beyond Blue volunteers will be able to enter the competition but will not be eligible to receive any of the prizes.

How to enter

The Competition will open online at the start of the AFL BB Cup week. Links to enter the competition will be shared from the Hawthorn Football Club and Beyond Blue via their website, social media and eDM’s.

Participants may also enter at the AFL BB Cup, advertised through Beyond Blue’s volunteers and signage around the grounds. Event attendees may enter the competition by:  

  1. Using an iPad provided by a Beyond Blue volunteer to enter online. 
  2. Using the QR Code provided by a Beyond Blue volunteer and entering via their mobile phone.  

Entrants may only enter in their own name. Inaudible, incomprehensible, illegible, and incomplete entries will be deemed invalid. However, Beyond Blue volunteers and staff can help those with a disability to enter on an iPad at the event.

Entering the competition will allow participants to think about their wellbeing, but also optionally opt-in to receiving a short-series of articles from Beyond Blue.

Conditions of entry

By entering this Competition, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Beyond Blue reserves the right to verify the validity of entries received, and to disqualify any participant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

Any entry that is entered outside of the Competition Period will be invalid.

Selection of the winner and prize details

On Monday, 19 April 2021 at 3.30pm (AEDT), one participant will be randomly selected by Beyond Blue as a Competition Winner (Winner) from the Beyond Blue head office, Melbourne VIctoria. 

The Winner will be contacted by 4.00pm (AEDT) on Monday 19 April 2021 and their name will emailed to the competition entrants by Monday 26 April 2021 at 5.00pm (AEDT). The Winner will have 24 hours to respond before Beyond Blue ‘selects an alternate Winner.  

. The Winner will receive:

  • Signed Hawthorn Football Club Jumper (valued at approx. $250 including GST)

The Winner will be notified via email and telephone using the details provided as part of the Competition entry, at which stage Beyond Blue will require details of a mailing address for delivery of the prizes. The prize must be accepted as offered and is not exchangeable, transferable or redeemable for cash. If any aspect of a prize cannot be provided for any reason, Beyond Blue reserves the right to substitute the relevant Prize, in whole or in part, for any other item of equal or greater value.

If the prize remains unclaimed after one month of the selection of a Winner (including due to the failure by a Winner to supply a mailing address), the relevant prize will be considered forfeited and may be used by Beyond Blue for an alternative purpose, entirely at the discretion of Beyond Blue 

Privacy

Personal information collected by Beyond Blue in conjunction with its Competitions will be used to contact Winner(s) and for Beyond Blue’s future marketing and promotional activities.

All personal information collected by Beyond Blue in conjunction with its Competitions will be handled and used in accordance with Beyond Blue’s Privacy Policy, available on Beyond Blue’s website. https://www.beyondblue.org.au/general/privacy-policy

Competition entries will be promoted on Beyond Blue channels, but participants will remain anonymous.

Internet

If, for any reason, the Competitions do not run during the Competitions Periods due to a computer virus, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of Beyond Blue that corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competitions, Beyond Blue reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competitions or disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process.

Beyond Blue is not responsible for any:

  1. malfunction, delay or traffic congestion on any network or line, computer on-line system, servers or providers, computer equipment, software or website; or
  2. failure of any email or entry to be received by Beyond Blue.

Limitation of liability

Beyond Blue makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of the Prizes.

To the extent permitted by law, Beyond Blue is not liable for any loss or damage that is suffered  (including, but not limited to, indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained  by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by Beyond Blue, its employees, agents or contractors in connection with its Competitions.

In the event that any such liability cannot be excluded by law, the total liability of Beyond Blue will not exceed the total value of the Prizes.
