Intangible Goods is a public art project by Elizabeth Commandeur and Mark Starmach, commissioned by Art & About Sydney.
The project imagines what it would look like if we could shop for our psychological and emotional needs as easily as our physical needs. Ten products sit inside a vending machine, including Belonging, Purpose, Friendship, and Bravery, on sale for $2 each. Inside each packet are special ingredients to fill your specific mental itch.
Developed in collaboration with mental health professionals, proceeds for the sale of the products will be donated at the end of the project to a number of mental health organisations, including beyondblue.
