You probably know that at Beyond Blue, we think talking about mental health is important. As such, we are now beginning a new project to help people talk to others about their mental health issues, and teach skills to others about how they can respond in helpful and supportive ways.
We’re calling this the ‘Having the conversation’ project and we're looking for older adults (65 and over) who have experienced depression or anxiety to assist it's development.
We know that these are not always easy conversations to have. So hearing about your experiences will guide the development of this practical resource. We want you to tell us what’s been difficult, and what’s been helpful when you have talked to someone about your experience of depression and/or anxiety.
How to help
If you’d like to help, please take the time to complete the quick survey below telling us about your experiences of talking to others about your mental health and your ideas for what information we should provide to help others have effective and helpful conversations.
This is a brief survey and should take about 10 minutes to complete.
It will be open until Monday 4 November.
Thanks for your support. We look forward to hearing your ideas and experiences.
Thank you for your interest in this activity. The survey is now closed but we look forward to your future participation in the Having the Conversation project.
