We have an exciting opportunity for two blueVoices members (one with a personal experience of mental health issues and one who has experience supporting a family member with mental health issues) to join Beyond Blue’s Portfolio Governance Group (PGG) for a one-year term and participate in decisions guiding future Beyond Blue projects.
The aim of Beyond Blue's PGG is to ensure responsible use of funds to maximise benefits achieved for Beyond Blue and the community we serve.
The PGG meets monthly to review project ideas/business cases submitted by Beyond Blue teams and assesses these prior to submission to the CEO and/or Beyond Blue Board for approval and allocation of resources. The PGG consists of senior leaders from across the organisation as appointed by the CEO.
blueVoices Representative role
The role of the blueVoices representatives is to contribute to the decision making of the group by drawing on their personal insight gained from experiencing mental health issues. The role is for a one-year term (unless there is a desire or need to step down from the role earlier), commencing in June 2017.
The blueVoices representative will attend meetings and participate alongside other group members in the function of the group, including:
- Attending monthly meetings of the PGG held in Hawthorn, Melbourne (meetings are held during business hours and run for two hours). Teleconferencing facilities are available for those living interstate
- Preparing for meetings by completing required pre-reading (this may require up to a few hours of reading depending on the activities occurring during the period)
As an acknowledgement of the commitment required for this role, blueVoices members participating in the group will be offered reimbursement for time spent fulfilling the requirements of the role.
