Beyond Blue is a member of the Mentally Healthy Workplace Alliance (MHWA), a national approach by business, community and government to encourage Australian workplaces to become mentally healthy for the benefit of the whole community and businesses, big and small.
In 2017, it was agreed by members of the alliance that there would be value in creating a national Mentally Healthy Workplace Framework.
The purpose of the framework is to provide guidance to all Australian workplaces on why mentally healthy workplaces are important and the key actions that workplaces can take to achieve a mentally healthy workplace.
The MHWA is currently working on a project to establish the requirements for developing this framework, including high-level strategy and project plan.
A working group is being established to oversee the project, with representation from each of the Alliance members and community members with a lived experience relating to a workplace environment.
We're currently looking for one blueVoices member to join the working group.
The working group will be primarily email-based, but will require participation in a small number of meetings (teleconference is available). The working group will run from now until July 2018.
Members of the working group will:
- advise on the project direction
- provide feedback on project products, including strategy paper, business case and project plan.
The time required is not expected to exceed 8 hours in total for the duration of the project and would roughly be made up of 4 hours of meeting time and 4 hours of pre-reading. Please note that, given the tight time frames of the project, it is anticipated in most instances, a response to requests for feedback would be required within five working days.
Applications for the Mentally Healthy Workplace Framework Working Group are now closed. If you'd like more information on this committee please contact the blueVoices team on 03 9810 6100 or via email
