At Beyond Blue we are committed to our vision, that all people in Australia achieve their best possible mental health. One of the best ways to do this is to influence Australia’s mental health and suicide prevention policies.
We want to advocate for the best possible mental health policies into the future.
To make sure that we focus on what matters most, we want to hear from you.
We want to better understand how you look after your mental health, and your experiences of anxiety, depression and/or suicide. Tell us what changes need to happen in Australia to make your life, and the lives of those around you, better.
This survey asks your feedback on:
- how to prevent anxiety, depression and suicide;
- how to get support for your mental health;
- how to reduce discrimination; and
- the needs and experiences of people caring and supporting others; people aged 65 years and over; and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Activity Results
This survey is now closed.
Thank you to the 679 people who completed our survey, sharing their experience, insights and thoughts.
The survey results, along with a review of existing research related to interventions and supports in mental health and suicide prevention, helped us define a number of policy topics to focus on, including three major areas:
- Early Intervention
- Suicide Prevention
- Early Childhood
Workshops where held in May (2019) with professionals and people affected by anxiety, depression or suicide. Participants in these workshops helped to explore these three important areas in more depth. What we have learned from the workshops will inform the development of our policy platform.
Any future engagement of the community in this project will be done through Blue Voices. Learn more about Blue Voices and how to join.
We’ll update this page as the project develops. At this stage we anticipate an update in late 2019.
