We are fortunate to have many wonderful people volunteer their time and energy to help us promote good mental health in the community at festivals, sporting events, conferences and expos.
Volunteering for beyondblue is a great way to encourage conversations about mental health in the community, smash the stigma and help reduce the impact of anxiety and depression.
Studies have also shown that volunteering helps people feel more socially connected and provides a sense of purpose, pride and accomplishment – all great protective factors for your mental health!
If you would like to become a beyondblue Volunteer, you will need to complete our online registration. You will then have access to the Volunteers Hub, where you can complete our volunteer induction program and view and apply for volunteering opportunities.
Volunteering roles include:
- representing beyondblue at events
- handing out beyondblue information resources
- collecting donations for beyondblue
- attending conferences and expos
- attending community festivals
- cheering on Team beyondblue at sporting events
Please note: beyondblue volunteers do not do face-to-face or phone counselling, office work, student placements, internship programs or public speaking.
