Hi Jason - your post finally came through mate.

You have so much distress from your family, it's heartbreaking. I can see how much it's hurting you. It's cruel. Have you had any counselling in the past that was useful?

Do you mind me asking - when you were in hospital, the time you got stabbed, what were you there for? Don't answer if you don't want to mate. It's up to you. I'm not being nosey, just trying to get to know you better and what you've been dealing with. Feel free to ask me anything about me too if you want.

I'm glad you're surfing - even if the waves aren't that good. I don't know anything about surfing. I grew up inland and the nearest beach was about five hours drive. And I have terrible balance - can't even ride a pushbike haha. How did you learn to surf?

Not sure what you mean in regards to what i was there for i was in icu stabbed i have spoke about all off this in my earlier post it happened where i was there receiving counseling for what my uncle did to me when i was7/8 years old plus other events like being denied my right to attend my fathers funural and being forced to sign over power off attorney i was only 3 month short off turning 18 i miss and love my Dad very much and he was very good to me never laid one finger on me and suported me in an sport i wish to do he came back from england for my 17th bday and bought me my first car when he left me we shook hands had a cuddle and he said see you for you 18th we will go have a drink for that one i saw he had a small tear in his eye cause he was now aware of the dysfunctional life i was living he told my step father if you lay one more hand on my son kill you this was done in front of me cause my Father was staying in the guest room when he caught my stepfather beat up on me my dad looked at me and said why have you not told me whats been going on here next minute he had my step father buy the throat and told him i will do 15 year prison if you ever touch my son again.

Well when he died my stepfather laughed and would not let me go to england and my mum never backed me up i left home that day and never went back i started experimenting with drug i had no direction and was so angry it was his brother you did what he did to me as my mums sister married my step fathers brother there all evil including my half brother and cousin i dont want to say any more now its getting to me got to go sorry bye Kazzl 😢

I didn't know about your dad Jase. I am so very sorry. He loved you, you hold onto that, hold the good memories close to you like a warm blanket.

Jason if it distresses you to talk about anything here, you don't have to, OK? If we ask a question you don't want to answer, or that brings up painful things, you don't have to answer it.

I'm a bit foggy headed this morning - not sleeping well at night and sleeping too much in the day. Need to sort that out, think I've got it the wrong way around. 😊

It's going to be another hot one here today. How are you coping with the heat? Are you able to be somewhere cool during the day? Hope so. Wish I was closer to the beach.

It's nice to see you are having a talk with Kaz, she's a fine lady.

I'm hoping you have somewhere good to sleep, are you still in that lady's flat or have you had to move back to your car?

If you wanted to tell Kaz all about thinks it sounds a pretty good idea to me. One hint that I found helpful, you don't have to say it all in one go - you can of course and for some people that's the best way. For me I decided I'd say things up to a particular event one day, and more the next -whatever you think best.

Going to the Library rather than strain your eves sounds like a plan too.

How are you getting on with your doctor and finding a psych?

I cant takethis anymore, fts centerlink have knocked me back again for dsp i cant get supporting evidence for my claim for either victoms compensation or dsp cause i cant get supporting evidence from psyhic or councilor cause after 26 visits to my gp still no luck with referrals

Over it all now all my centerlink goes on rent and have about 120 left each fortnight

Your frustration with the system comes though in every letter you typed in that last message.

I guess it's time to take a breather mate - have you enough gas to go look at the waves? See the ocean, listen to the wind, time the waves going in and out on the shore, notice sea-birds?

You have come though the same feelings before - and you have won through and you will always do so, you are stronger than the system and will beat it in time.

I would have trouble myself dealing with the things you do

Jase, i know this is going to be really hard but now is the time you need to stop. Pause. Get that inner warrior that has been going so well of late to push the negative thoughts out of your head and think clearly and make good decisions. Easier said than done, i know that but you are one very tough and resilient person so i believe that you can do that.

It is about setting new goals, it is about being kind to yourself and it is about not letting the system get you anymore than what it has.

Keep getting on here and engaging with us.

Can you start a new rainbow? Can you sit and talk with Vince? As Croix said above, can you get to the beach?

Hi everyone

Its nothing that suprises me but i never recieved the phone call as promised today from the original arresting police officer after over a dozen email requests for him to contact me also did not have return call from the dpp after i ended up complaining that tara pain has never returned my calls even the victoms of crime have asked her to contact me i was advised to send email to dpp asking for return call from her manager nothing and to top it off the charity organization never got back to me after i called them this morning in regards to the rent assistance im getting no were really whats going on more mental torture and disappointments i can file claim for victims compensation without supporting evidence as far as anyone is concerned including centerlink i dont have a claim without a professionals opinion what am i ment to do it wearing me out 13 months its not right

Things are not good at the moment and it's depressing for you - very frustrating.

While I remember Kaz has been called away for a few days, but will be back.

I'd like to ask you - and sorry if you have already thought of this - but is there somebody over there that could be an advocate on your behalf to help deal with some of these hassles alongside you? I don't mean a lawyer, but perhaps someone form Anglicare or another such organization?

Trying to juggle all the things you do takes its toll, and someone speaking on your behalf would be good.

I've only just stumbled on your thread here. I'm so very sorry to read of all that is going on in your life right now.

Like Croix has mentioned, I hope you are able to find someone who can help you with all of this. Wish I had some answers for you. Your local council may be able to suggest possible help and support options.

Just wanted to let you know that I too am thinking of you. As difficult as all of this is for you, it is important to try and find some time to rest. Very difficult in your situation, I understand that.

You mentioned going to the library to use a computer. Strange as it may sound, even chatting to the staff at the library might help you. They may have books on support services in your area as well.

Hi im in hospital all this stress is taking its toll i have wrote my ute off i smashed into the back of a parked truck which was parked in bicycle lane and half on road and the guys were working on the other side of road my but really lucky i never hurt anyone i cant take any more off this hand balling and avoiding helping me from this government look at whats happened never had a crash like this before in my life now i have no car

Yes im hurting a little Croix but not as much as my mind i will get over this maybe it will take my nightmares away to someting else dream off thats sudden stop and air bag smashing into my face i had a good look at photos this fella took for me i very lucky my seat mechanism failed and seat went flying forward i will hobble around for few days should be ok they said whip lash could set in its not uncommon for it to take few days im hoping thats not the case but i survived another hard hit definitely got a purpose that needs filling before i say good bye to this world

Jase, hopefully you are not physically hurt to much?

Use this time in hospital to just have a break. Let the nurses look after you. Get some good sleep (if you can with injuries?). It can be used to give your brain a rest for a day or two, or however long you are in there.

When I first crashed with PTSD i was hospitilised for nearly two weeks. It was explained to me that the hospitilisation was designed to "let the dust settle" and looking back now, that is exactly what it did. It allowed me to just chill and reset. Even though it appears that you are in there for physical injuries, you can do the same. Reset.

This will be cold comfort to you at this stage, but I am just thankful that you were not seriously hurt or killed in the accident. Cars can be replaced, you cannot. Even though you are extremely low on funds, there will be a day where you will get another car.

Hope your all doing fine im at home i didnt want to go to hospital but when the polce arrived the said please go get yourself checked over i did that now im home so sore everywere but that will pass its only physical week at the most back to brand new again

The police from local station rang me up in hospital and asked me to do few things whilst i was in there i just can not remember on off the nurses got me really upset when i asked please my batterie is dead on phone and i need to nake contact with some friends to arrange to get picked up she said use our phone , need charge to retrieve numbers she oh well not hear to charge peoples phone this is a hospital i said the doctor who stiched my hsnd uo said no probs can do for you she said well im not the doctor and had a giggle i lost it just wanted out of there after that aspecialy when i over heard her say that i have been rude to everyone all the nursing staff it was only her everyone else was cool but realized i got to get out of here how dare she add that i was rude to everyone this is why i did not want to go in the first place

The police were very nice to me i cant even remember the ladys name im so sore can hardly move and really dont want to think about any off this or ring anyone i have doctors appointment today i caint leave the house in this condition im so stressed out its only a thought but wish i could just dissappear be with my Dad and Grandad

Hi Jason,

If you become too sore and uncomfortable, please return tot he hospital. Injuries can sometimes take a day or two or even longer to show themselves. I have been in 3 car accidents so have some idea of what happens after you have had a sudden impact like that!

Sounds like the police and most of the hospital staff were helpful. Don't let the attitude of one nurse put you off from searching for help if you need it.

Do you have someone there who can keep an eye on you? I understand your need to get out of the hospital, just remember once again that if you need to return, please do so.

Ah, life can suck sometimes hey! I remember the first car accident I was in. My sister was driving my boyfriend's car. She skidded off the road, hit a gum tree and 7 of us ended up in various states of pain and injuries! That was back in the day's when Noah was a lad and cars didn't have seat belts!

Really do hope yo mend okay after this accident Jason!

I will be ok thanks for all your concerns,i find that the longer i sit still the harder it is to get moving this morning when i woke up was not to sure if i could actually get up to get out off bed so ended up rolling out very soar first thing this morning. My neck is getting really stiff not soar just painfull when moving from left to right gee i tell you i do feel like i been in a car crash and the pain is that spread but i think my hips,ankle plus chest copped it the worst feel like a old man right now so i just keeping on moving hoping that will speed things up and can get back in the water for a wave next couple of days

Hiya Jason, I heard you had an accident so wanted to pop back and send you my love and very best wishes. Goodness! What a thing to happen eh! I am so glad you're in one piece mate, sorry you're hurting though.

You've got a good attitude there though mate - get back in the water or just do whatever you can while you're healing. Keep focused on getting better and all the positives you can think of.

I'm not around much at the moment, should be back properly soon. But know that I'm thinking of you and wishing you a speedy recovery.

Jase, the impact that accidents have on the body are massive so you are bound to be sore! Don't rush anything, let it heal.

When you can do it safely, definitely get into the water. If not for a surf as you may not be able to, but to just lay there in the water. That will be a real mind/body/soul moment of time.

Salt water is awesome for sore bodies and if there are small waves that can hit you, kind of like natures massage.

The smell and sounds of the beach will be awesome for you. That is your place. You own that.
