I find flowers are emotional to me as they bring back memories. Lavender reminds me of my nan who smelt of lavender and I had the tem growing outside my shop. Now I have lots of lavender at my home and I smile and smell them every day.

Do others have flowers that bring up memories, .?

velvet I like so many birds and we are lucky Australia has so many .

Quirky, flowers yes but not so many memories. Smells evoke memories for me. Particularly perfume. My Mum wears a particular perfume. If I smell a lady in the supermarket/shops I follow her, for a bit. To smell the perfume. Not to be a stalker!!!

I saw my psychologist yesterday. I am to change the narrative of negative comparison to a positive comparison. Sounds easy enough in theory. I hope you all have an okay day.

Sometimes it's a hard thing to try.

Be happy! Be positive! Stay still! Concentrate! Don't worry so much! Sleep better!!

Oh man if only we had thought of that hey? 😑😑😑

I need to think about a negative comparison to a positive one.

Is this just for comparisons we make or those that others make for us.
For example I can see that most of the people I went to school had professional careers, or were successful as entrepreneurs, I make this comparison and so can say well 8 have done other things with my life, I volunteer , and I live with mental health issues.

When others compare me to others like others and they say 8 am older than you and an run a marathon etc and I am very

    organised.

Just for us Quirky. So the comparison with others. Sounds easy doesn’t Velvet? On theory. It’s like changing the tape in your head. Not so easy.

The tape in my head , I picture it as a lot of tape, caught in a jumbled mess. Fast forward, backwards, stop, repeat. My head is such as a mess at times. Big week next week. Full calendar. I’m not used to it and it will take its toll. Biggest will be reunion at a old work place. They will be opening up a museum and they run ghost tours .It’s that old. Almost like me .

Aries can you pace yourself in your big week.

I find meeting friends I have not seen for years is great but I either talk too fast and too much or I go quiet, nothing in between. Funny that.

Aries you are younger than me.

Friends not seen in years. Interesting theory that one. One to ponder.

I've put my foot down again. My personal mobile number has been put on work doccuments.

I asked a manager what is the go? She agreed it's wrong. She also said they're not paid to be on call. I'm like hmm.... huge salary, perks and a work phone and yet I get none of those things and my number was used?

Ok then. I'm blocking every work related number I have and won't have my phone on me during work hours. Let's see how well that works.

Velvet that seems so unfair on many levels.

Very depressing tbh to be treated like that. You are clever and a hard worker and I feel at times take advantage of due to your strong work ethic.

Yeh. It's friends too. Same old same old.

At work I was about to do a not very glamorous job. A manager came in and interrupted a phone call to say she was bringing people in right at that time. She had been meaning to tell me all week.

I said "ok. I hope they don't mind but I will be doing xyz."

"Oh ok we will wait outside."

So they did and I took my sweet time. I also made sure to elicit as much bad smell as I could ensuring it lingered for them.

I do hope it was enjoyable.

Hehe. I can play too. I generally don't see the value in being catty. I'm up front and many people don't like that. They prefer to hide behind games and manipulation.

I'm making Mexican for dinner. Going to have a long sleep hopefully and then have a big day of being selfish and doing things for myself.

    And the dog. Ahhah.

People who hide behind games and manipulation need to assess their morals and view on the world.

We are having a cold burst here, get out winter woolies again in November.

Does anyone worry if you make a few silly mistakes more often that it may be something more than mistakes.? I am not worried just curious.

Yes. My silly mistakes is putting others first, myself last and hoping one day I'll be important for them. Wrong.

Saturday. 5.30am until 8pm I was non stop doing chores and things. I did do a gym class for me though. Then the weekdays are all full on too.

I'm over it. I tried to talk to a manager Friday who just looked at me and smiled with a look that suggested who cares. Clearly not her. She has her huge wage, perks, flexible hours to accommodate her motherhood and husband slave at the workplace too. She doesn't care.

I really have a huge dislike for the egotistical and entitled females in power positions at work acting like us plebs are there for their benefit.

I hope my workplace sinks and hits the media again about its lack of transparency and corrupt practices.

    I really do.

And leaving? I've looked for other jobs on par and they pay 30k a year less.

This is why people won't apply for jobs. Employers are sooking because their wages are a joke now. Covid is the excuse. What a load.

They want 10 years experience, all relevant and desirable qualifications and want to pay rock bottom. You'd earn more working at a fast food restaurant.

Velvet that seems unfair that the employers can demand lots of experiences, skills, a qualifications yet pay low rates. I would hope in 2021 with unions etc that is not possible so am annoyed it is.People will be scared to leave and put up with bad workplaces.

My relevant union is really stretched due to various employers in this realm being really deceptive to staff.

I have to ride it out. It's hard with zero support from friends and family. I have to support them but also myself.

I ate a bowl of fruit. I'm now watching TV. The dog isn't impressed. I haven't walked him today yet. I woke up this morning so worn out I felt faint/dizzy. I'm hoping the fruit pile helps a bit. I've been pretty lazy with food for a while.

We will go outside in the sun when it's within his temperature tolerance range.

Velvet, I feel a bit off today too. I think it's the sudden change in weather. My tolerance for the increase is meds has petered out. I hope your workplace gets reported in themedia. I hate corporate greed. Yesterday we played barefoot bowls. It was a hoot. It would be better in the evening but we played in the sun. I may have played once ten years ago. Otherwise I am a novice.

My workplace was taken to court and it was in the media. No ruling yet. If the ruling is in favour of the staff that opens the doors. We wait.

I hate corporate greed too. There is a difference between making a good honest living and being corrupt and so forth.

I've played barefoot bowls. Was a very hot day. Christmas party for work years ago. Definitely fun. Cold beer helped. Hehe.

I hope the meds are helping though? Or is a change in the air?

I had a super comedic and stressful event here today. Will tell the story soon.

Barefoot bowls sounds like fun. I am not coping with the cold but the wind is that strong it gives me a headache.

Went outside to hang washing and the door slammed shut in the wind. Deadlock. Left phone inside. Man thing had moved the hidden key and not told me. Food on stove cooking. So I run around the house to frantically ring the doorbell. He is 5000km away and the system is linked to our phones remotely. I can smell the food on the stove starting to burn.

Frantic doorbell rings out of the norm didn't cause any concern. Phone would've been in pocket vibrating like a phone call. ARGH!!!!!!!

I had to get creative fast. I found the long handled parrot beak trimmers. Put them in through the door. I dragged myself half in the doggy door, which isn't big enough to get my hips through. Twisted myself around and used the trimmers as super long pliers to grasp and twist the knob on the deadlock. It OPENED!!!

    Win = food was edible.

Kind of feel like a Mcgyver!

My mother seems to think I’m in a bad mood with her. I only asked when she was taking my Aunty to the train station and coming to see me. Aunty is going on a regional train and Mum lives regional herself. I’m like WTF? I also asked if she could find out when brother and family were free for Christmas. I don’t think that is an unreasonable request. I could message my brother myself, it was just she was seeing him before I was .
