๐Ÿ˜พMy text-to-speech calls this:๐Ÿ†one is a leopard, & this one:๐Ÿ…is a tiger, & this one:๐Ÿˆis a cat, & this:๐Ÿฆthey unashamedly call a lion!

& still no Walruses. I wish I could make one for you. This :๐Ÿฆฆotter is still the nearest I have found. Could be you when the iceberg melts & all you have is a pond & can only crack oysters on your tummy...it's too sad...๐Ÿ˜ฟ,,,,๐ŸŽญa tragedy....but, alas, no Shakespeare to write it.

Hey Croix, did you notice what day it is? & I'm not referring to the day I go into hospital.

I'm betting you didn't.

I wonder if anyone else has noticed a n interesting co-incidence of dates here?

Hey everyone โ˜บ

Mr Croixy man just popping in with an Ice cold glass bottle coke they taste more like the real coke than 0lastic just cost more and a chilly L & P (Lemon and Paeroa) for you that one of our annebriated Kiwis swam over to give you. Can't remember if you've tried one, they're a very popular lovely non alcoholic drink in NZ they were/?are on tap in pubs clubs. They sell them in big bottles in Coles.

Anyhoo just wondering how the healths going our dear good Croixy man.

Mate I've give you a hug but being so good looking and slim it'd be sure to be grounds for divorce so cause I'm so good like that I'll just pat your back and smile at lovely Mrs Croixy

Hope you're doing well Cman โ˜บ

Look after yourselves peoples

โš˜

Hi DB! Happy Meow Year! ๐Ÿ˜บGreat to see you.

I think I have had a L & P once. I never found out what 'Paeroa' is. I did enjoy my drink, on the hot summer day, when I was visiting Southbank Qld, . I had not found another shop that stocked them.

Ha, I'm betting you didn't notice the date of my last post, & didn't notice that Croix, who doesn't seem to have noticed either, began this Thread 5 years ago - to the day of my last post here.

I think this is just cause for another celebration, if only to bring this anniversary to the Walrusus's attention, don't you think? ๐Ÿ˜น

I hope you like that I thought you'd like to play drums in the big band, I've called 'Wake Up the Walrus'? If you have another preference, like Lagerphone, I'm sure it won't take long to gather up the materials necessary to make one for you.

Dear mmMekitty and DB - plus anyone else around~

No, I had not realized it was a 5 year anniversary of starting Croix Parler (which is of course the pun cross talk:). No, Croix does not mean 'cross' as used in my name, though many people think it does, it was a slang nickname from my youth.

I started the thread becuse I was always chasing after people that had no home thread themselves and found it very difficult to catch up, so I though I should have a place where people could catch up wiht me if they wanted to.

It's worked well, and has had all sorts of subjects here, some serious, some fun. Which reminds me, I thought a Paeroa was some sort of nearly extinct NZ ground parrot, you live and learn I guess. I have also just learned the inebriated kiwis can swim - amazing. Maybe they just walk along the bottom with those long beaks sticking above the water.

I presume a Lagerphone is something to do with an alcoholic beverage? Considering my musical ability I think I'd better confine my efforts to the triangle (provided you give me the nod when to go "ting" of course)

I'll regretfully have to forgo that hug DB, with you being so attractive and slim and all, it would be a sure recipe for trouble. Mrs C is liable to take drastic action. Still with me being mistaken for Arnie so often this does tend to happen rather a lot:)

Well, as they say in the cartoons

"That's all folks!"

Mr Arnie oop Croixy ๐Ÿง Kitty and everyone hiyaz โ˜บ

Cracking up ๐Ÿ˜‚ oh wait.. that's laughing I mean...not...well ya wonder sometimes...esp after the bug (accent) alright beeg that's Aussies version of big swims. That lack of oxygen gets ya..what's that ๐Ÿ‘‚ Ohhh we're sposed to breathe you say...๐Ÿ˜ถ

Your humours great Croixy I get many laughs.

Hey Kitty I too wasn't sure about Lagerphone either. If memory serves Grandys gotten pretty good at drums and vocals in the Grandeebis band so I might go with the oboe if that's ok. I figure I can use the exercise lifting it you know needing to build my arms up like Arnies here, and many would gladly say I have plenty of hot air I could rid of so hey win win! Yes liking the "Wake up the Walrus" name and we all know how much underneath he secretly loves our shenanigans ๐Ÿ˜‰ HNY too โ˜บ

Oh I didn't either know what Paeroa meant. A nephew looked at the label as we all didnt know in that group and it's hope I have this right Maori fir water. It's a wonder you couldn't find anymore Kitty it's very popular.

Ok everyone Croixy many thanks for who you are and what you do amongst many here yes for so many people but talking about you atm โ˜บ

It is nice to have varied convo isn't it. Folk have varying knowledge likes views thoughts humour etc which makes it good for variety and stimulation on different levels.

Oh your beach walk with dear Mrs Croixy does sound really lovely. Special quality time that by all accounts sounds like you both have. Please thank that good lady for taking such good care of our favourite Walrus โš˜

Go easy peeps ๐Ÿ‘‹

Just keeping the Walrus on his flipper ends! Just like a ballerina!

I found some instructions with pictures at the following URL

https://www.instructables.com/Make-a-lagerphone/

I trust this helps to explain.

I'd love to have every instrument represented. We just don't have the emojis!

It's just as well I realised, we have all sorts of virtual instruments, any colour, any size - indistructable, too! ๐Ÿ˜น

What about a vitual hugfrom me, then, Croix? Or am I too pretty too?

mmmmm DB? You like virtual hugs???? I'm furry & still mostly squishy! & I promise to keep my claws retracted.
