Hi

Came across this idea from someone else a moment ago. And thought YES this a good one. I am not sure of the personal outcome for each of us. And sometimes it can be a challenge to look forward to something that is coming up in our lives. Currently I can think of one thing. So I will share it in my next post.

What is 1 thing you are Looking Forward to this week in your life?

OK maybe this idea is not such a good one.. Idk.

Anyways my one thing I am looking forward to this week is Date Day.

Why? Because my husband has been a shift worker for 10 years and was so very tired all of the time. And we could never had a specific set time for any dates. He now works Monday to Friday and roughly the same time each day. So we have gone on 2 dates so far already.

a great idea but have only just seen it.

I need to think as things are busy here and things I have looked forward are being cancelled.
May be I should look at a small thing not a big thing.

i look forward to a mango I bought last week ripening so I can eat it.

Nothing exciting like a date night but that’s what I could come up with.

I have been looking forward to today all week. I have been busy with work and family, finally today is just for me. I am doing me time and focusing a little on relaxing on recharging for the coming week ahead.

Yeah thats good the mango Quirky. They often just smell so heavenly as well.

And don't think it matters how big or small the thing you are looking forward to.

I really like your thread. I think it’s very important in life to have things to look forward to, and with all the uncertainty in our Covid world it’s even more important now.

I am looking forward to coffee and a walk on the beach tomorrow with a very old and dear friend. She is battling cancer and for the first time in a long time feels up to getting out of the house. Sunshine and a gentle breeze will be the icing on the cake!

Hi Summer Rose, yes I thought it might be helpful to help us to look forward to something. Though the date thing I was looking forward to, I am not so sure anymore.

It was bitter sweet.

My friend is nearing the end of her life. We laughed, we cried and we reminisced about the old days. We didn’t talk about the future.

I am so grateful that she will be here for Christmas and have the holidays with her family. So much precious time was lost to lockdowns in our state (Vic) and now she has so little time left.

Today was a reminder of how important it is to make each day count.

Tomorrow I am looking forward to a big walk—trying to lose the “Covid kilos”. Diet, exercise, you know the drill!

Although your jelly dessert is making me crave a sweet. Just one more shortbread won’t do too much damage.
