Hi, had a really bad last 2 days, I packed away all my things on my desk at work as I was preparing not to come back. I’m so thankful for a work friend who noticed I hadn’t been good the last few days and actually made me talk, after crying I did start talking about what I was planning on doing tonight, but talking to a person helped me so much , I just want to say please talk to someone when you are feeling really bad and have made a plan, it made a difference for me. I always felt like I didn’t want to burden anyone else with my problems and that no one would really care, but this person did.

    Hi Faye000

Welcome to the forums and thankyou for the very helpful post too!

I feel your pain with having two bad days (with packing up our desk).....Coming from a corporate background it can be a tough environment to be in

You have helped many people by mentioning " I just want to say please talk to someone when you are feeling really bad" and saying " I always felt like I didn’t want to burden anyone else with my problems and that no one would really care, but this person did"

I hope you are feeling somewhat better after talking to someone and feeling the benefit by doing so!

you are an amazing person Faye000

The forums are a safe and non judgemental place for you. Your well being and privacy is paramount to Beyond Blue. I really hope you can stick around the forums....if you wish of course :-)

    my kind thoughts

    Paul

    Hi Faye000

I just wanted to echo what Blondguy has said and welcome..and thank you...thank you for posting but THANK YOU FOR TALKING. I am so very proud of you for doing that as it must have been so hard and so overwhelming. Also what a wonderful wonderful person you have at work who clearly has your back and is so very caring.

Come and chat here anytime, about anything as I would love to know how you are going and how you are feeling. Even if you are feeling terrible, come and purge here and have a chat with us, even if you are feeling wonderful I would love to hear about that too.

Well done Faye000, you are amazing, you are so worth it and you are loved...you have started your journey for healing and that is so fantastic.

Thanks for posting Faye000, you have made me feel so hopeful today.

    Hugs to you

    AS

    Hi Faye000,

I just want to echo the sentiments of the previous posters as well. Some people have the ability to recognise when others are not themselves. Others cannot. I am glad there was someone who was there to listen to you. From my own experience these conversations are hard (also necessary) to reduce that crushing feeling you otherwise feel.

To you... the actions of your workmate show how much you mean to others around you. It might not have been obvious to you and through this new journey which you are embarking upon you may recover part of your old self who recognises that you are indeed worthwhile and good enough. Your story is worth telling and sharing.

Peace and comforting thoughts to you,

    Tim
