    Hi all

Ive been on an antidepressant for over a year

I like to try new antidepressants

    I got general anxiety disorders

I can avoid activities if I'm very stressed out

Been started back to work since March since my anxiety is different I think it's gone a bit worse

I do take sleeping medication which seems to help but I can not take it all the time makes me drowsy the next day

    People what's your opinion

I also broke my leg twice for the past year maybe gone a bit worse since I couldn't go anywhere for the time any suggestions

    Hi Shazzawazza

Welcome to the forums and good on you for having the courage to post too!

I understand what you are going through as I used to have chronic anxiety and its a horrible place to be in. I am not sure of the symptoms you have so I will answer from my own experience if thats okay

Medication is a huge help yet its never a fix all. I am on AD's as well and they do work really well combined with regular visits to our doctor/counsellor. Do you have a doctor that you see on a regular basis?

Many people also avoid various activities when going through a stressful time...Me too

Can I ask why you wish to change your meds?

The forums are a safe and non judgemental place for you to post Shazzawazza

    you are not alone

    Hi, welcome

I am sorry to say we cannot, under the rules discuss medications in detail.

what I can say is, in my case, I had to try 12 different meds over a 6 year period before the right one was found. The process of waiting for 6 weeks or more to see if they work then s few weeks more then weaning yourself off then can be arduous- oh but it is so worth it.

We are all different, so you need an approach for yourself.

    Also use google for this-

    Hi,

magnesium (also good for cramps), and fish oil is positive items to consume as an assistant but I was told they are not significant things to make an impact enough on their own with mental illness.

    Good to have though

    Hi Shazzawazza

your GP can help you out if you wish to change from after dinner to the morning for sure!

As TonyWK mentioned we cant discuss specific medications yet we can discuss 'groups' of medication like you have in your post...'antidepressants'....'anti anxiety meds'...

I understand you about being in crowds....sometimes this can feel very anxious for me too yet it is very common with anxiety

sometimes making a double appointment with our doctor can work wonders

any questions are always welcome :-)
