    Hey all,

MissRanga here. Don't even know where to start.

I've been thinking for a while that I should probably get help in someway. Maybe go see a counsellor or something but I don't have the inclination to spend the money on it.

I have Generalised Anxiety but have a pretty good handle on it. I'm in my late 20s and am currently living with my partners parents in order for us to save for a house. Have 2 dogs and various reptiles. Im introverted and like my own company. I have a fulltime job and a part time business with a friend.

Life should be pretty good but I've been feeling real down alot lately.
Blame it on Corona, living with parents, work, everything really. I have some good days but alot of bad days.

Feels like a bit of situational depression. Anxiety makes it worse. Some days I just don't want to get out of bed but I have to keep working, keep doing the day to day things.

Going to go read some forums here and see if they help. Sometimes I don't know why I bother trying, better to just wallow in the the sad feelings because then I don't have to out effort in.

    Thanks for reading.

Hi missranga I was asked by my psychologist if I had a outlet or as she called it a distraction when I’m feeling down/low/depressed ect ect ect which I didn’t have but on the way back to a better location to get a Uber home I stopped in at a big w as I wanted to get some things from there anyways. But while I was looking for what I was after I came across some 1000 piece puzzles that that were down from $10 to $8. So not only did I get what I was after but I left with 2 1000 piece puzzles I brought as well which is now going to be my distraction when I need one. But I plan on getting some more so I don’t get bored of redoing the 2 I have when a distraction is needed.

Hope you are doing ok, would love to know more about the lizards and dogs. Pets can be great distractions and ways to work through and score little goals to get through the days.

Letting my turtle out to roam the back yard can be a delight

    Hello MissRanga,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm really sorry to hear that you have not been feeling your best recently. Although we might have a lot of good positive days it always seems like the bad days can outweigh the good, especially given the current circumstances. However, I'm really glad to hear that you want to seek some professional support. I can definitely see how finances may be a factor in not wanting to seek some support. Beyond Blue does, however, have some really friendly professional mental health counsellors (available 24/7/365 on 1300 22 4636) that you may want to reach out to. If you have some time I'd be really interested to hear about your various reptiles! They're such interesting and exotic pets and seem like super fun (and potentially low maintenance?) pets to have!

Remember that it's okay to have some days where you just want to lie in bed and do nothing. The important thing to remind ourselves is that tomorrow will hopefully be a better and more positive day. Please remember to take extra good care of yourself - stay hydrated, nourished, and stay close to your furry (and not so furry!) animals and family.

Wishing you the very best ~

    Hi Miss Ranga,
I feel like that sometimes too. But I generally just want to be a good student, friend, sibling and daughter. I am not in the same age group as you but I came here because I felt that it would be good to talk with people that kind of feel the same way. And you are one of those people. Sometimes I feel really bad other days it's just a few mins of ongoing sadness.

You know that if you get out of bed maybe one day something good will happen meaning that you should just keep going. I know. I sometimes feel the same way. But life goes on and really if you only look at the good bits it will show that you've probably had a lifetime of good bits. :)
