Hello Grandy, I have had a really bad day. I have been desperately trying to reach out to people to get an opinion. I went from pillar to post to get answers, but got absolutely nowhere. One insisted I go to hospital. I ignored that sugesstion. The mental health triage said talk to the GP. I give up. All I know is Im in pain, feel ill and getting recurring nightmares, and waking up shouting for help. Im so distress because my nurse from palliative care implied I was seeking admission to hospital, when I wasnt. I just wanted to know what was happening to me. He sounded so cold and aloof. I feel such an idiot.Drop us a line ie if you want to. I need some kind words. I do hope you are settling in well at home. God Bless,Dear kind person. Chunty

Hello Chunty, it's always difficult to know what other people think who aren't suffering from any type of depression, sometimes they believe us and sometimes they think we're only trying to make an excuse to get out of a situation or avoid having to commit ourselves, if however, they have gone through a period themselves, then the warning signs are shown on a person's face, but it's not easy if you're talking to a group of people, let's say 5 people and only one believes you need help, whereas the other 4 don't think so, that' when it makes it very difficult because who has the final decision.

Not everyone is going to agree on a diagnosis, especially after only one visit, and someone who has less experience than another person may be correct, and often a grandma sitting on a bench seat may know exactly what's wrong with you, although you do need a qualified diagnosis for treatment or for taking time off work due to this illness.

By thinking you're going crazy only empathises any illness you are suffering from, so please don't blame yourself and I only wish I could interrupt your dream, but there could be many reasons why you've dreamt of your dad and a clairvoyant may interrupt it differently than a psychologist, so who do you believe.

    Best wishes.

    Geoff.

    Hello Dear Chunty,

I am deeply sorry that your having frightening nightmares..

I can relate to your nightmares as I have them on occasions I’m not mentally well....Dreaming of your father sitting next to..Do you think he was doing that to comfort you..to let you know that he is still with you and looking after you spiritually?...

I am pleased your seeing your GP. today, maybe speak to him/her about your dreams...Maybe your go can help you in some way...

I believe that we have to try to get ourselves into a calm state before we sleep and not be inside our head...Each night I listen to abide or a sleep story and usually drift of to sleep while they are still talking...I listen intently to each word spoken and my sleep seems to be much better...

Awe, no..pleased don’t think those bands about yourself..you are not an idiot nor are you going crazy...you are a beautiful person going through a very hard time, many people do not understand depression, or your constant pain, because they have never been where your at...So Please dear Chunty, be very gentle on yourself..you are doing an amazing job, just by reaching out here..I know how hard reaching out can be...I really am sorry that the nurse from palliative care should be more compassionate and caring towards you, and I feel he shouldn’t have said what he did....

I hope today your feeling a bit better and your GP. appointment goes well for you...

    Here for you lovely Chunty....

My kindest thoughts with my care..and a gentle comforting hug 🤗 if that’s okay..

    God bless you Chunty..

    Grandy..

Hello Dear Grandy. Its really great to hear from you. Sorry I took long to reply, as Im not feeling the best. Im sad that you are still mentally unwell. Are the medications working?oh it must be so hard for you. You have got follow up? The GP just wrote out some blood forms and directed us to the door. I was in less than 5 minutes. The previous consult I asked if he could help with my breathing. Nothing he said ",muscles are ceasing. When it ceased you will stop breathing" Guess he's being honest. I think you could be right about my father. He was comforting me. He was protective of me and he was a very good spiritual and religious man. Im trying not to think too much. Using Distractions which are helping and doing as Father says "leave everything in God's hands'. I keep reminding myself of that. You know Dear Grandy I am glad I joined the community forum. There are so many nice and genuine people. You poor dears are suffering and yet are willing to help and support others. You know the 85 year old friend whom I have known for years are now making excuses to visit me. My carer picks her up and brings her home."Ive got 2 physio appointments a week and shopping" Excuse and another rejection. I really am isolated and lonely, except for Father. I am so sorry to put this all to you, but I needed to vent. You please look fter yourself Grandy, and I am concerned and care for your well being. You are a real asset to the community. God Bless You Heaps. Chunty

    Hello Dearest Chunty...

Im so sorry I have taken a while to reply..

My neighbours little dog passed away on the weekend and I stayed with her for a day then the next day checked on her..She is heartbroken and I had to help her bury him...It was a very sad day...

Mentally I’m doing the best I can..I went to my volunteer job today..the first time that I ventured out on my own for about 2 months..,I think I done okay, was going to shop after work but decided to just go home as my anxiety was starting to overflow...

I am so pleased that you joined the forums and I’m getting to know you a little better each time we talk, you are such a beautiful person and have a gentle soul...

With your breathing dear Chunty..are you able to breathe in deeply or does that hurt you too much...I really am so deeply sorry your health isn’t to good...I put a few drops of eucalyptus oil on the air conditioning filters and also on a hanky under my pillow slip..for some reason the scent of eucalyptus makes me breathe better and gives me a calming feeling...

I am sorry your so isolated..I can relate to that, as I live alone and my children are around a 7 hour drive away...My anxiety stops me from traveling so far..and my children’s jobs and family stop them from visiting me...so we don’t see hardly see each other...

I am pleased that your church Father is there to help support you and pray for you..as I do pray nightly for you and some others from here....He sounds like a lovely person...I try to take one day at a time and put my trust in God that he will look out for me daily...

I hope your feeling not to sick or down beautiful Chunty..

My kindest thoughts with my care...God bless you Chunty..

    Grandy..

If you look uner the Trapped and Helpless thread, you will see the experience I had with a Priest. White knight gave me a nice reply. How are you going anyway Grandy? And how are you dealing with your Anxiety? Im still struggling, but Iind peace if Im left alone to do my own thing. But I feel Ive had enough.I have to go now as my carer is awake and I cant concentrate. Would like to hear from you and do take care kind soul. God Bless You. Chunty
