Dear Blueboy2021~
Many people come to this Support Forum precisely so they can engage with others who have had similar experiences in an anonymous and safe fully moderated environment.
While the Forum is not a one-to-one or a formal mentor relationship it can be of great benefit, not only in terms support but also being told of the experiences of others, how they have fared. Also offering hope when one sees those who have reached a recovery stage.
In turn many who first come here seeking information and peer support end up giving as well as receiving, a most satisfactory arrangement, one I've come to be in myself.
The normal course of events is for a new poster to create their own 'thread' in a suitable section -such as "Anxiety" and introduce themselves with a brief account of their circumstances. (Making a thread is covered in the very first post on page one of this thread)
Others see the new poster's thread and can respond. Please be aware that all posters here are volunteers and responses may not be immediate.
Should you require further information please sing out
