Hi again,
Fake friends... Can I ask what sort of job you were looking for? But it does suck when you say something to anyone and they appear to the not listen to anything you have said. This sometimes happens to me in a work environment. Perhaps this is a stepping stone to that job. I am looking at changing careers and to get to where I want I may have to do something else.
I am also very good (sarcasm) when it comes to black and white thinking. For me it right or wrong, good or bad, 1 or 0, nothing in between. So when I saw your post about being a friend or not a friend or not I was wondering.... do you think this might apply to you?
Let's say in the spectrum between not a friend and friend there can be a number of other types of relationships (in no particular order) -
- acquaintance
- only at work friend
- work buddy (someone you work with more than others)
In each case you know some things about the other person and will talk at work, or lunch etc, but there is little relationship out of work. That does not mean a friendship cannot develop. It's a bit like a walk over a bridge. To go from not being a friend to a friend (or better) you might a work buddy first or ??? Similarly there can be people at work you might not want to associate with after work.
