Beyond Blue understands the worry and distress many people may be experiencing due to the coronavirus pandemic. It is also affecting the way many health services and supports operate, and you may be concerned how we’ll continue to provide NewAccess during this time.

The good news is that NewAccess is perfect for supporting people while following safe physical-distancing advice. Our providers will continue to offer coaching via video or audio call during the coronavirus pandemic and we hope there’ll be as little impact as possible on our services.

Please be sure to check with your provider directly to find out what options are available. As usual you don’t need a doctor’s referral to access this service and you can make an appointment and talk to your Coach from the comfort of your home

What is NewAccess? 

NewAccess is a free confidential support program, developed by Beyond Blue and delivered by Bolton Clarke, designed to help anyone 16 years and over manage life stress and tackle day to day challenges. 

People love NewAccess for a variety of reasons:

  • It's free, so no out of pocket expenses
  • The structured six session program gives you practical tools
  • You work with a local coach, trained in low-intensity cognitive behavioural therapy, who will guide you through a tailored, personal program
  • It’s completely confidential
  • No doctor’s referral or mental health treatment plan is required
  • It’s available via phone or video call (the regular face to face service is currently on hold)
