Hi everyone, My name is Pam and I have come here to hopefully get some help with my depression coming back. I have been in recovery now for over 10 years. However, I think that with the pandemic and have family troubles its just all getting to much. I do have hobbies and try to immerse myself in those to lessen the blues. Anyway, hope everyone is good and am looking forward to meeting some new friends.

    Hi Pam :0)

Thank you so much for reaching out to us here at Beyond Blue. Please know that you're not alone and that we're here to help you through this trying time (BIG hug):0)

Depression, such a terrible thing to live with. My heart goes out to you sweety. I can relate as I battled it for over 30 years so I know where you are.

First of all, if you haven't done so already, I strongly suggest you make an appointment with your GP and tell him/her what you're feeling. They're ALWAYS the best first point of call as they'll be the one to get you on the right track to recovery.

OK, next thing, do you have family or a close friend you can talk to? Quite often just having a familiar shoulder to cry on can be so therapeutically relieving and can often make things look a little brighter.

You mentioned you're experiencing some "family troubles". Do you want to talk about this? Do you think that this is driving to feel depressed?

Come back to me and we'll have a nice chat. Tell me about what's troubling you and together we'll get you through this.

    Your friend - Rumples xoxo
