Beyond Blue aims to provide information and support to help everyone in Australia achieve their best possible mental health, whatever their age and wherever they live.
To do this, we have designed programs for people when they are at work, at their place of study and at home.
But there are those who are harder to reach but have an important perspective that we want to hear. This includes those who may struggle to gain employment, or who are facing challenges such as chronic illness, pain, and/or disability, those for whom English is not their first language, older Australians with poorer access to internet resources, those in housing stress and those who frequently find themselves in financial hardship.
That’s where we want your thoughts and ideas.
We are developing a Community Engagement Strategy that aims to reach all Australians, including those who may be at greater risk of poor mental health because of where they live, their background, or life circumstances.
We hope to improve our use of events, volunteering opportunities, Speakers and Ambassadors program and community partnerships and fundraising to increase our reach and understanding of communities that face a number of challenges.
We are asking all our Speakers, volunteers and blueVoices members to tell us your thoughts and ideas in this survey, which will then be shared with the Community Engagement Team.
Your views, along with information we have gathered from a recent community survey, conversations and focus groups, and previous discussions with Beyond Blue volunteers and Speakers, will inform our strategy into 2020 and beyond.
The survey helping develop the Beyond Blue Community Engagement Strategy is now closed. Please contact the blueVoices team for more information on 03 9810 6100 or via email
