Beyond Blue has been running the ‘Know when anxiety is talking’ campaign since 2017. The campaign aims to help break down stigma and help encourage people to seek help when they need it.
The final phase of the campaign will be launching in early October.
Research has shown that on average it takes eight years from the first signs of an anxiety condition, for someone to seek professional support.
This phase of our campaign is focused on changing these stats and helping people to know where to go if they think they might be experiencing anxiety.
How you can help
To help get this message across we're looking to make a series of social media videos sharing the real stories of people who got help for their anxiety.
The videos will highlight the experience of anxiety with a focus on why, when and how people get help and how they manage their anxiety now.
We're looking for five Blue Voices members to share they experience with anxiety for these social media videos. Selection for videos will be influenced by us wanting to get a variety of experiences and backgrounds.
We are also looking at other ways we might be able to share more stories we get through this activity. This may include articles or quotes on our website, or through other media channels.
The recruitment for this activity is now closed.
If you'd like to learn more about this activity or the anxiety campaign please contact the Blue Voices team.
