Its been almost 3years that that in noticed i have got anger issues which makes me go blind and break everything thats infant of me. I get easily triggered when this doesn't work in the way I want it to be. Sometimes when i am happy I am too happy that I want to enjoy a lot but when there is mood swing I fight with my wife and show her my anger. Which is affecting our relationship and sometimes it goes to an extent that i say things i didn't meant.

    Hi Pel,

Welcome to the forums and I hope you can stay around to continue to post here, as you are welcome 24/7.

It is a big step to ask for help or guidance, so congratulations on making that first step!

I would recommend speaking to a GP or a mental health professional to help guide you in what you may be going through, if you deem that your anger may be unintentionally hurting those around you.

However, in the meantime, if you need anyone to talk to or if you need support, please contact Beyond Blue Support Service on 1300 22 4636 or on Webchat 3pm-12am AEST at . There is also Lifeline on 13 11 14 or the Lifeline crisis chat 7pm - 12am at .

I would also recommend visiting these two websites as they help to shed some light on anything that might be causing your mood swings. But remember, take the information inside these articles with a grain of salt.

    Hope this helps!

    Hello @pel,

Welcome to the forums and thanks for reaching out. Echoing what @P0L0 said - great job on seeking guidance, that is always the hardest step so well done!

I'm really sorry to hear that you have been dealing with some emotional issues, which has been affecting your relationship with your wife. Our emotions and actions can sometimes be so volatile and hard to control even when our intentions are good. Do you find that particular things trigger you specifically? or all things in general?

I find this article quite useful in terms of listing out some triggers of irritability and anger and techniques to help reduce them. It also provides some good advice on how someone else should handle someone undergoing a potential mood swing.

Please keep us updated if you feel up to it!

    Wishing you all the best.
