Activity Detail

Beyond Blue is evaluating the last four years of our work - reviewing if objectives have been met and what benefit has been achieved for the Beyond Blue community.

To help guide and manage this process an Independent Evaluation Advisory Committee has been formed. The committee will include membership from government organisations, research institutions, not-for-profit organisations working in mental health and Beyond Blue representation.

We’re seeking two blueVoices members to join the committee as part of the Beyond Blue representation.

A key part of the evaluation will be to explore how effectively we are serving our community.

As a blueVoices member you will help inform the evaluation framework, objectives and methodology are influenced by those who have personal experience of anxiety, depression or suicide, or support someone who does, are represented at the highest level in this project.

Committee Role and Function

The purpose of the committee is to provide advice to Beyond Blue on the evaluation.

The selected blueVoices members will be required to participate alongside other committee members and provide input to the planning and delivery of the evaluation including:

  • advise on the plan and progress of the evaluation of Beyond Blue’s fourth term
  • provide advice on tender specifications
  • support the assessment and appointment of the evaluation provider (2 members)
  • consider and advise on the final evaluation report.

You will be required to attend three meetings of two hours each in March, July and November 2018. All meetings will occur in business hours. Attendance in person is preferred, however, we can organise video conferencing if required. You will be reimbursed for your time and any travel.

The first meeting will be held the week of Monday 26 March at the Beyond Blue Head Office. The exact date will be confirmed with those who are shortlisted.

Reimbursement for your time

If selected, you will be reimbursed for each meeting attended. Where travel to meetings is required, Beyond Blue will arrange the travel and cover expenses. Reimbursement rates are determined by the Remuneration Tribunal at Determination 2017/18.
