Through community partnerships with elite sporting clubs and high-profile events around the country, Beyond Blue is able to deliver its mental health messages to large and diverse populations. Beyond Blue is fortunate to have the support of the below community and event partners.

Community partners

Hawthorn Football Club

Since 2006, Beyond Blue and the Hawks have been working together to raise awareness of depression and anxiety in the AFL community. Each year, the Hawks clash for the AFL Beyond Blue Cup and also promote Beyond Blue programs and services to their supporters through their Family Day, Tasmania Community Camp and training clinics.

Coastrek is a team trekking challenge with events held in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. Participants trek 60km, hike 30km or walk 15km, immersing themselves in nature for an epic adventure of fun, fitness, friendships and fundraising. Created in 2009 by social purpose business Wild Women On Top, Coastrek transforms lives by empowering people to lead healthier lifestyles through shared adventures in nature. It works toward making a positive difference in our community by raising funds for mental health.

Wests Tigers

The Wests Tigers have teamed up with Beyond Blue for the 2016-2018 seasons to help raise awareness of depression and anxiety and reduce the associated stigma within the NRL community. Wests Tigers are a key partner for the annual NRL Beyond Blue Cup and also promote Beyond Blue programs and services to players, staff and supporters.

They hope to play a special NBL Beyond Blue Cup game each year against rivals South East Melbourne Phoenix to encourage the basketball community to talk openly about mental health and look out for friends and family.

Netball South Australia

Netball South Australia partnered with Beyond Blue in 2020 as part of their ‘Stand Together’ program which aims to improve the health and wellbeing of the netball community.  We will look to hold an annual Super Netball Beyond Blue Cup game each year featuring the Adelaide Thunderbirds.
