Activity Detail

Beyond Blue is in the process of implementing a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and seeking a blueVoices member to sit on the steering committee.

The involvement of a blueVoices member on the committee will help us ensure that we maintain a focus on the impact, benefits and needs of our external stakeholders. It will also provide another external view to our internal organisation perspective.

The Steering Committee will meet every 4 weeks, for 30 minutes up to an 1 hour, generally on a Tuesday morning until June 2019. These meetings can be attended in person of via video/tele conferencing.

Special one-off meetings may be called should some urgent decision or issue need to be addressed.

Papers for the meeting will be distributed prior to the meeting for reviewed prior to attendance.

 

Responsibilities of the CRM Steering Committee

  • Ensure that the organisational risks are being managed
  • Oversee project progress against plan (scope, timeline, budget, required quality) raising issues and advising on approaches to issue resolution
  • Ensure that across the organisation the needs and requirements of all areas are considered in key decisions and in the development and execution of key approaches

 

CRM Steering Committee Membership

  • The Beyond Blue Executive Team (excluding the CEO),
  • A representative from Salesforce (bringing an external vendor perspective to the Steering Committee),
  • An external IT project management professional (bringing an external independent IT and project management perspective to the Steering Committee); and
  • A blueVoices member (bringing a key stakeholder community perspective and voice to the Steering Committee).

 

Time Requirements

It is expected that The Steering Committee will meet every 4 weeks, for 30 minutes up to 1 hour, generally on a Tuesday morning.

Papers for the meeting would be distributed prior to the meeting and these would need to be reviewed prior to attendance. There would be some review time of papers following the meeting.

It is anticipated that this involvement, excluding any travel time, would take up 6 to 10 hours every 4 weeks.

The first Steering Committee meeting would be mid-late May 2018. The final Steering Committee meeting would be as late as May/June 2019 depending upon project final delivery date and project approved closure date.

Background

The Beyond Blue Executive team have approved a CRM strategy to help Beyond Blue deliver a better service to the Australian community through internal efficiencies, developing deeper relationships with individuals, and greater support of donors, partners, and stakeholders.

The CRM will assist Beyond Blue to enhance our connectivity the community by creating detailed data for Beyond Blue teams to make clear, informed decisions. Beyond Blue will also leverage the CRM to better target communications, mitigating reputational risk that comes with inaccurately targeted communications and content.
