Christmas burnout
Christmas can be a lot, can’t it?
Every year it rolls around, and for many of us so does the stress and exhaustion that comes with it.
It’s almost as predictable as the holiday itself.
If you’re feeling run down, burnt out or just not quite yourself, you’re not alone.
Maybe you’ve got too many things on, there’s money worries, or family tensions, not to mention the pressure to make everything just right.
If you are feeling constantly tired, irritable, or having trouble sleeping, it could be a sign that you and your Christmas holiday could benefit from scaling a few things back, setting up a few boundaries and saying no when you need to.
Taking a walk around the block, or a few deep breaths can help.
Setting and sticking to a budget can also lighten your load.
Even limiting your socials, so you don’t get caught up in the comparison trap is known to make a difference.
Remember, feeling stretched too thin doesn’t mean you’re failing. It just means you’re human. Lots of us feel this way, and it’s okay if you do too.
